Chabagou, a small watershed in Loess Plateau, is a typical area with waterfall and geographic features. The research on the adaptability of different erosion and sediment yield models will be of great importance to the productive practice and the research on erosion and sediment in these areas. The thesis chooses two different types of erosion models(empirical watershed scale model and distributed mechanism model) and compares watershed applicability of different models and applicability of different geomorphic units with the aid of GIS and remote sensing technique. It turned out to be that the annual empirical model's precision is higher and it is more suitable to calculate the annual total sediment yield mount of the watershed. In the different erosion cell, the soil erosion of the slope cropland which is located in the gully area is more serious than other places, especially under the heavy rain the water and soil loss is extremely serious. On the one hand, the thesis analyzes the geomorphic unit of high sediment yield in order to take specific measures on protection and management; On the other hand, by extending the range of models application, the thesis aims at making a model transplantation.
