In this paper, using MOD16 products, combined with ground observation data from eight weather stations in Otog Front Banner (abbreviated as OFB) during 2011-2014, the spatiotemporal characteristics of evapotranspiration in this area were analyzed. The results show that the Penman-Monteith model and the MOD16 product are suitable for evaluating the potential evapotranspiration and actual evapotranspiration of OFB. The evapotranspiration space in the study area showed a decreasing trend from southeast to northwest, in time, it remained low from October to May the following year, and began to rise after May, reached a peak in July, and then decreased to October. The regression coefficients of evapotranspiration and sunshine hours, air temperature, water vapor pressure, wind speed, and precipitation were 0.28, 0.31, -5.01, 2.17, and 0.02, respectively.
