The new species Rhexoampullifera marquesii, collected in Bahia state, northeast Brazil on submerged decaying twigs, is described and illustrated. The fungus is mainly characterized by cylindrical, 6-15-septate, brown to dark brown conidia. A key and a synopsis table to Rhexoampullifera species are provided.
