First records of Faurelina in the Neotropics

Two species of Faurelina, F. fimigena and F. hispanica, are recorded fruiting on herbivore dung collected in the Caatinga biome of the semi-arid region of Brazil. These represent the first records of this genus in the Neotropics. Descriptions, a photographic plate and a comparative table are provided, along with an identification key to the four species of Faurelina.
