Although dry streams are the dominant drainage system in the arid and semiarid regions, there are few studies that analyzing morphological and environmental features and their conservation status. In this paper the geomorphologic, environmental features and land management of 24 ephemeral streams from Baja California Sur are analyzed. To establish their conservation status we applied "Indice de Alteracion de Ramblas" (IAR), which has been elaborated to Southwest ramblas of Spain. These ecosystems present many similarities with dry streams from Baja California Sur.
