This study explores the interfaces among the nine states in the Brazilian Semi -arid Northeast concerning the cultural experiences, memory, and identity of rural Black and Quilombola groups in the Northeast region of the country. The theme revolves around the convergences in lifestyle among Black rural communities and Quilombolas in this region. We have started from the hypothesis that, in the cultural experiences of a religious and festive nature (merrymaking), there are inflections that have broken the passage of time, as well as the hegemonic powers of the dominant classes. The methodology of this study was guided by an intensive literature review, combined with the snowball technique. The results indicate that Quilombola communities in the Brazilian Semi -arid region maintain strong points of convergence in the practice and belief of their cultural, religious, memory, and identity experiences.
