The Ras river basin is in the middle course of the Sao Francisco River. The objective of the research is to understand the dynamics of the provision of environmental services related to carbon stocks in the Ras river basin, in the semiarid region of Bahia.17 inventories, 280 plots and 17,745 individuals were used as a support base for the measurement of biomass and carbon stocks. 4,169,071.36 ton were quantified. of carbon above the ground, with a valuation of 250 million dollars in the year 2019. However, there is a devaluation between the prices practiced in the carbon market in relation to the goals of the Paris Agreement (91.33%). For a fairer monetary distribution, referring to the Payment for Environmental Services -PSA in the basin, the involvement of family farmers and traditional communities is recommended, to avoid a concentration of income and aggravate a historical scenario of socioeconomic exclusion.
