Biography
I am Professor of Evidence Informed Policy and Practice and the Director of the EPPI-Centre in UCL's Social Research Institute. I previously worked at the University of Glasgow and Japan Women's University. Up to about 1998 I worked predominantly on research on child protection and abuse, but since then I spend most of my time on the study of methods for research synthesis and the study of research use.

Canada: evidence informed policy and practice and knowledge mobilization.
Japan: child protection and evidence informed policy and practice.
