PROTOCOL: Non-pharmacological interventions for older people with a diagnosis of depression: An evidence and gap map
This is the protocol for an evidence and gap map. The objectives are as follows: To map available randomized control trials, economic evaluations, and systematic reviews that assess the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions for older people with a diagnosis of depression and identify any existing gaps in the evidence that can inform future research.

PROTOCOL: The relationship between homework time and academic performance among K-12 students: A systematic review
This review will synthesize the results from publications focused on homework time and academic performance, and estimate the relationship between the two. Our objectives are: (1) To identify the extent of the relationship between homework time and students' academic performance; (2) To analyze the differences in the effectiveness of homework time across genders, grades, subject and regions; and (3) To identify the potential factors that affect homework time, such as academic subject, task difficulty, type of homework, mode of homework, parental involvement, and feedback on homework.

Effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy for mental illness in cancer patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials
Background Disease awareness is an important aspect of psychological adjustment in cancer patients; however, there is limited evidence that acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is recommended for the treatment of mental illness in cancer patients. Purpose To assess the effectiveness of ACT for cancer patients with mental illness. Methods Ten databases were searched for publications up to July 25, 2020, using combinations of search terms related to mental health, cancer, and randomised controlled trials (RCTs). Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the quality of the study. Results Seventeen RCTs (877 cancer patients) were mainly of low quality, compared with control group, ACT was associated with improved outcomes after treatment completion and at 1-3 months and at 3-6 months of follow-up for depression (Standardised mean difference [SMD] = -0.93, 95% CI, -1.36 to -0.51, P < .001), anxiety (SMD = -1.22, 95% CI, -2.16 to -0.29, P = .01), quality of life (SMD = 0.85, 95% CI, 0.17 to 1.11, P = .01), psychological distress (SMD = -0.80, 95% CI, -1.24 to 0.35, P < .001), and stress (SMD = -0.54, 95% CI, -1.02 to -0.07, P = .03). After 6 months of follow-up, depression, anxiety, quality of life, and stress were still significant. ACT was associated with psychological flexibility and was not associated with a reduction in fear at treatment completion. However, psychological flexibility (1-3 months) decreased and fear (1-6 months) decreased, and the longer-term effect was still significant. Conclusion ACT can be an important component of future cancer care, as it may alleviate depression, anxiety, stress, and fear, and improve quality of life. However, further research is required to determine long-term treatment effects. High-quality RCTs are needed to more reliably estimate treatment effects.

Knowledge map and global trends in extreme weather research from 1980 to 2019: a bibliometric analysis
There is an increasing number of studies focusing on extreme weather all over the world, but global trends and research topics related to extreme weather are still unclear. This study aimed to explore the current situation, research themes, and future trends in the field of extreme weather. Publications published from 1980 to 2019 were identified and retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection databases by using keywords on May 5, 2020. Excel 2019, VOSviewer, R, and CiteSpace were used for scientific analysis. The results showed that (1) the number of publications on extreme weather research has rapidly increased and expanded continually, shifting from core disciplines to interdisciplinary fields; (2) the International Journal of Climatology was the most productive journal, and climate and environment were the most popular subject categories. Most studies were carried out in the USA, China, Germany, and other nations, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences was the most productive institution; (3) the main research topics were summarized as (a) climate change; (b) variability; (c) trends; (d) rainfall; (e) temperature; and (f) maximum. At the same time, (4) keyword bursts analysis showed that the domain focused on changes to atmospheric rivers, the impacts of global nitrogen content on extreme weather, and the relationship between water quality, soil moisture content, and extreme weather. Based on the in-depth analysis of extreme weather research, this paper developed a further understanding of the developments in this field over the past 39 years and also provided a reference for future research.

Prevalence and changes in depressive symptoms among postgraduate students: A systematic review and meta-analysis from 1980 to 2020
Education actively helps us develop our well-being and health, but postgraduate students are at high risk of depression. The prevalence of depression symptoms varies from 6.2% to 84.7% among them, and its changes throughout the years remains unclear. The present study aimed to estimate the real prevalence of depression symptoms among postgraduate students and the changes from 1980 to 2020. Thirty-seven primary studies with 41 independent reports were included in the meta-analysis (none reports were in high-quality, three were medium-to-high quality, 20 were low-to-medium quality, and 18 were low-quality), involving 27,717 postgraduate students. The pooled prevalence of overall, mild, moderate, and severe depression symptoms was 34% (95% CI: 28-40, I-2 = 98.6%), 27% (95% CI: 22-32, I-2 = 85.8%), 13% (95% CI: 8-21, I-2 = 97.3%), and 8% (95% CI: 6-11, I-2 = 81.0%), respectively. Overall, the prevalence of depression symptoms remained relatively constant through the years following 1980 (overall: beta = -0.12, 95% CI: [-0.39, 0.15], p = 0.39; mild: beta = 0.24, 95% CI: [-0.02, 0.51], p = 0.07; moderate: beta = -0.24, 95% CI: [-0.75, 0.26], p = 0.34; severe: beta = 0.13, 95% CI: [-0.25, 0.51], p = 0.50). Doctoral students experienced more depressive symptoms than did master's students (43% vs. 27%; Q = 2.23, df = 1, p = 0.13), and studies utilising non-random sampling methods reported a higher prevalence of mild depression and lower moderate depression symptoms than those that used random sampling (overall: 34% vs. 29%; Q = 0.45, df = 1, p = 0.50; mild: 29% vs. 21%; Q = 1.69, df = 1, p = 0.19; moderate: 16% vs. 25%; Q = 1.79, df = 1, p = 0.18; severe: 8% vs. 9%; Q = 0.13, df = 1, p = 0.72) despite these differences was not statistically significant. The prevalence of depression symptoms was moderated by the measurements and the quality of primary studies. More than one-third of postgraduates reported depression symptoms, which indicates the susceptibility to mental health risk among postgraduates. School administrators, teachers, and students should take joint actions to prevent mental disorders of postgraduates from increasing in severity.
