Introduction and objectives

The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), in cooperation with Agencia Estatal de Meteorologia (AEMET) is organising an in-person C3S user workshop with a geographical focus on Spain, on Wednesday, 4 June 2025.

The half-day workshop takes place in Valencia and is targeted at current and potential future C3S users in Spain.

This national user workshop is a unique opportunity for interested Spanish individuals and organisations to:

• Learn about C3S services and how they can benefit your activities;
• Discuss your potential interest and requirements for the use and application of C3S data and services;
• Learn about current use cases from Spanish users through an interactive session – with poster presentations and discussion – to deepen your understanding of user needs within the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S);
• Present your experiences using C3S, obtaining feedback from colleagues and other users.

The workshop will take place in the afternoon (14:00 – 17:30), with a prior networking lunch at 13:00. 

After an overview of the Spanish climate services and user community and a presentation of the C3S services, the second part of the workshop aims to interact with the Spanish user community and will be dedicated to using of C3S data and products, understanding user requirements and exploring the potential for collaboration with C3S.

The workshop will be held in English and will take place at Veles e Vents as a side event of the 8th C3S General Assembly (GA). During the networking lunch, you will have the opportunity to get in touch with the participants of the General Assembly as well.
