Open forums for the NEM wholesale market settings review

2025-05-09

Interactive open forums are being held as part of the review into the National Energy Market’s (NEM) wholesale market settings.

The in-person forums are an opportunity for stakeholders to share their views. They will be able to discuss key topics with the review's expert panel and fellow audience members.

The expert panel will also give an update on the review's progress, with the final report due later this year.

The forums are part of the consultation on possible changes to the NEM wholesale market settings that will aim to promote investment in firmed, renewable generation and storage capacity in the NEM.

They will take place between 13 and 29 May 2025 in Sydney, Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Brisbane. There will be one forum in each city.

For more information including the full list of dates, venues, and locations, refer to the National Electricity Market wholesale market settings review.
